We are currently in a process for a site update and streaming lining our operations. At this moment, any new news and reviews will be posted in activeAnime.com. Eventually, everything will be moving to our parent site. To anime HD fans out there, if you are not into standard DVDs or manga news and reviews, don’t fret, activeAnimeHD will have its own section in activeAnime once the site update is complete.

It was known that it will show up in BD format, but the official word is that Halo Legends is coming to DVD and Blu-ray on February 9, 2010. Read the PR that activeAnime received HERE. One thing that isn’t a surprise to me was the audio specification withHalo Legends - Dolby Stereo Sound in the Blu-ray format. Apparently, Warner doesn’t like to upgrade the audio to HD when it comes to their direct to DVD animation shows. It was the same with their recent Green Latern First Flight and Superman / Batman: Public Enemies animation, both came with Dolby 2.0.

Looks like I will be downloading this show from Xbox Live when it comes out.

activeAnime to screen Ghost in the Shell 2.0 at the Alamo Drafthouse in Houston on Monday, November 17 at 7:30 PM. I must admit that I am very excited about this screening, and I am fortunate enough to have seen the Blu-ray version of the updated anime as I have received the BD screener last Friday. Review on its way!!!

First, we will try to post new information in a regular basis, which means, some information posted might not be anime related, but goes along the line of Blu-ray / HD technology. But don’t fret, our main focus is anime.

Second, I’m sure you are all wondering what happened to the reviews. Don’t worry folks, we have the reviews ready on the runway. In addition, there will be screen shots included, and possibly a separate image comparison page. But don’t expect every reviews to have an image comparison because we don’t get standard and HD version at the same time, or we don’t get the standard version at all. Also, it depends on the company that we are dealing with if they will allow us to do it.
